Required jobs in EGEC Qatar company and their details:

1. Design Coordinator

The Design Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the architectural design process. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure projects run smoothly, meet deadlines, and adhere to budget constraints.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate all aspects of the design process, including scheduling meetings, managing project documents, and maintaining project timelines.
Assist the Senior Architect with the development and preparation of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and schedules, with a focus on veterinary and agricultural laboratory specific requirements.
Manage project budgets and track project expenses, considering specialized equipment and materials used in these laboratories.
Communicate effectively with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure clear project communication and information flow, particularly regarding veterinary and agricultural laboratory specific needs.
Facilitate and document project meetings, taking detailed notes and ensuring action items are tracked and completed, with a focus on discussions related to animal housing, biosafety protocols, and specialized lab equipment
Maintain project files and ensure all documents are properly organized and archived, including documents related to specific veterinary and agricultural laboratory regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

UPDA Certified - Grade A is required
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, or a related field.
More than 15 years of experience in a design or construction environment.
Regional experience and min of 7 years in similar field is required
BIM Experience is required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).

2. QA/QC Engineer - Grade A

Responsible for all activities related to the Quality Control to ensure that quality standards for construction materials, processes and final units are met.

Job Accountabilities:

Ensure that contractors execute construction work at site according to the drawings and the specifications defined by the consultants.
Ensure that the contractor is using the proper materials at site according the specification.
Ensure that the contractor makes all the tests needed for materials and different work aspects according specification, laws and regulations.
Ensure the regular testing of materials used in construction and the inspection of each construction phase to make sure they comply with quality standards.
Oversee the handing over of units to customers and ensure that it is done according to customer's contract.

Qualifications:

UPDA Grade A
10 years of experience
Ashghal experience
7 years exeperience in consultancy firms
Knowledge in Revit

3. Quantity Surveyor

Quantity surveyors manage the costs on a construction project. They help to ensure that the construction project is completed within its projected budget. They are responsible for the cost of any building project - from initial estimates, right through to the final acquisition of materials. Surveying jobs are focused on providing clients value for money while adhering to the strict regulations which govern every aspect of the construction industry.

Job Accountabilities:

Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect.
Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project
Assist in establishing a requirement and undertake feasibility study.
Perform risk, value management and cost control.
Advise on a procurement strategy.
Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks.
Analyze costings for tenders.
Provide advice on contractual claims.
Analyze outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
Measure and value the work done on site
Value completed work and arrange payments to subcontractors.
Select and/or source construction materials.
Site visits, assessments and projections for future work.
Measurement & Valuation of variations
Preparation of final accounts
Arbitration (Settlement of disputes)

Job Requirement:

Bachelor of Quantity Surveying is required
Proven experience as a Quantity surveyor or any relevant role.
More than 10 years of experience
Ready to join immediately
Proficient in MS Office.
Good knowledge in AutoCAD.
